Manon Peyre is a 23-year-old French sailor specializing in the 49erFX class. Originally from the South of France and trained at Club La Pelle in Marseille, she has already made a name for herself as a world-class athlete, becoming Junior World Champion in 2023. A strong tactician with exceptional skills at the helm, Manon brings sharp instincts to close-quarters racing.

Though new to offshore sailing, she recently joined the IMOCA circuit for The Ocean Race Europe 2025. Alongside her sporting achievements, she is pursuing a Master’s degree in International Business in Paris Dauphine University , blending athletic excellence with academic rigor.

 

“Taking part in The Ocean Race Europe is an incredible opportunity, and frankly, I wasn't expecting it. For a long time, I believed – perhaps wrongly – that the gap was too big between dinghy sailing and IMOCA to even think about finding my place there. So, when I was offered the steer Allagrande Mapei, I was initially a little stunned... and very curious. What surprised me most was seeing how this boat, despite its power, can react like a dinghy. There are still a lot of things I have to learn but I feel surrounded by a super solid, attentive team, and that makes me want to progress quickly. I hope to be able to make my own little contribution too, especially in certain place that I know well, having raced there a lot in 49ers, like the Kiel area or certain parts of the Mediterranean. It's motivating to think that I can contribute, in my own way, on such details.”
