
Annie Lush

British Olympian Annie Lush is a quadruple match racing world champion and two-time competitor in The Ocean Race.
Born in Poole on the English south coast Lush (42) attended Cambridge University where she was awarded sporting colours in rowing, sailing, and rugby.
As a match racer she won the women’s world championship title in 2005, 2006, 2010, 2018, and – with crewmates Lucy and Kate MacGregor – represented Great Britain at the London 2012 Olympics where they finished in seventh place.
Having switched her attention to ocean racing Lush raced around the world with the Swedish-flagged Team SCA in The Ocean Race 2014-15 and with Netherlands syndicate Team Brunel in the 2017-18 edition.
In 2021 Lush raced to victory in the IMOCA class with Offshore Team Germany (the precursor to GUYOT environnement – Team Europe) in the inaugural edition of The Ocean Race Europe.
