After winning the 2016 junior world title and the 2020 German national championship in the singlehanded Finn dinghy class German sailor Phillip Kasüske was considered one of Germany's hopeful Olympic talents.

But with the 2020 Olympics were postponed and the Finn was ousted from the 2024 Olympics, Kasüske (28) pivoted to ocean racing where his powerhouse physique and finely honed yacht racing skills helped Offshore Team Germany (the precursor to GUYOT environnement - Team Europe) win the inaugural edition of The Ocean Race Europe.
