French sailor Fabien Delahaye began sailing in Normandy at Ouistreham. After six seasons of dinghy sailing he campaigned on the highly-competitive Figaro circuit from 2009 to 2014, where he won the first place of the French Championship. He used his Figaro experience as a springboard into professional offshore racing projects in the IMOCA class and in The Ocean Race where he was part of the victorious Dongfeng Race Team in the 2017-18 edition. He has been back on the Figaro Bénéteau circuit since 2019 but also keeps a foothold in IMOCA with Team MACSF. Since April 2023, Fabien Delahayes is the official new skipper of le Class40 Legallais.
