French yachtswoman Anne-Claire Le Berre began sailing at the age of seven near Brest and switched to offshore racing after many years as an Olympic campaigner in the 470 dinghy 2000-04, Yngling keelboat (2008), and as a match racer (2012).
Le Berre (40) has two sons and now lives in the French IMOCA stronghold of Lorient where she has worked as a yacht designer at Finot-Conq, and most recently as project manager for Sam Davies’s Initiatives Coeur campaign.
As well as finishing third in the 2021 Mini Transat, Le Berre has also completed two transatlantic crossings aboard IMOCAs, and will take on the pit job as part of the GUYOT environment – Team Europe crew.
