How to follow the WeBuild In-Port Race Genova - The Grand Finale

Saturday's In-Port Race marks the closing act for the VO65 and IMOCA fleets in The Ocean Race 2022-23

After months of intense racing around the planet starting from Alicante, Spain in January and arriving in Genova, Italy this week, the two fleets wrap up the 14th edition on Saturday with the WeBuild In-Port Race Genova, The Grand Finale.

The results of the In-Port Race series will not now affect the overall results of The Ocean Race but for the IMOCA fleet the series winner is still not a given, with Team Malizia within three points of series leader and overall race winner, 11th Hour Racing Team. Biotherm and Team Holcim-PRB sit a further five and six points behind respectively.

WindWhisper Racing Team has also claimed the VO65 Sprint Cup and has retained an unassailable lead in the VO65 In-Port Race series, but for pride or for bragging rights, all teams will be in it to win it in this final race of the regatta.

The VO65 fleet kicks off racing at 12:05 local time (10:05 UTC). Then it will be the turn of the IMOCAs at 14:10 local time (12:10 UTC).

The forecast is for sunny, light and variable conditions, 3-7 knots.
