Race veteran Annie Lush signs on with Offshore Team Germany
Lush, who sailed with Team Brunel and Team SCA adds experience to German effort...
Offshore Team Germany has announced Annie Lush will join the team as it prepares for The Ocean Race 2021-22.
"I am very excited to be part of Offshore Team Germany," Lush said in a story released on the team website. "We are in a great situation: We have a boat, a team and time to prepare. We are ready to put Germany back on the map of the Ocean Race after 20 years!“
The team's IMOCA 60 'Einstein' will be prepared in the south of England for installation of the newest generation of foils. The team has acquired a Dehler 30 OD to establish a strong training platform in Germany.
"After participating twice in 2014/15 and 2017/18 I had closed the chapter for the time being and wanted to concentrate on my role as a mother," Lush added.
"But with this team I'm happy to attack again. Great people have come together here and it's a great task to be able to help build up the team from scratch."
Last year, Lush joined the team for the Fastnet Race, and the relationship has blossomed from there.
