Lithuanian VO65 team, AmberSail2, to compete in The Ocean Race Europe

AmberSail2, a new team flying the Lithuanian flag will compete in The Ocean Race Europe in the VO65 class.

"This is a unique and historical opportunity. The name of The Ocean Race is sailing's Everest, a challenge like the Olympic Games. It is a great honor for us, as Lithuanian sailors, to be among the seven teams that will start in the inaugural edition of The Ocean Race Europe,"said Raimundas Daubaras, Ambersail 2 project manager.

"Until recently, this was only dream, but now it is becoming reality. We will definitely strive for the highest possible result, but participation in an event of this scale is already a great victory for Lithuania."

The sailing team will be led by Rokas Milevičius, an Olympian, and the first and only Lithuanian sailor to have previously participated in The Ocean Race (2014-15 with Brunel).
