1105 UTC: That's all that will happen at the Ocean Live Park finish line off Itajai today, with Team Malizia taking the leg win and Team Holcim PRB claiming second place on leg 3. 11th Hour Racing Team have over 500 miles to go and Biotherm is a further 150 miles back. That translates to a Tuesday/Wednesday finish for 11th Hour Racing Team and Wednesday/Thursday for Biotherm.
1100 UTC: They've done it!! Second place to Team Holcim PRB, crossing the line at 10:56:20 UTC.
1045 UTC: This is turning into one of those classic finishes where the last mile drags on and on. It's coming up on 0800 local time in Itajai which is a transition time for the wind. So the wind is very light, and the outflow current on a falling tide is pushing against Holcim-PRB making progress to the finish line. It's only a mile, but until the wind picks up, it's going to be slow progress. But it won't take much... a little puff for a few minutes and they'll be across.
1040 UTC: Team Holcim PRB is only a mile or so from the finish but they are in very light winds this morning and now fighting the outflow current from the river. This last mile may take a bit of time.
1010 UTC: The live finish and arrival of Team Holcim PRB is on Eurosport - https://www.eurosport.co.uk/sailing/the-ocean-race/2022-2023/the-ocean-race-2022-23-leg-3-live-follow-along-as-the-longest-leg-in-race-history-gets-underway_sto9416016/story.shtml
0900 UTC: The ETA for Team Holcim PRB has slipped to 10-1030 UTC. A second place finish here will put Kevin Escoffier's team in a commanding position on the leaderboard. Both Holcim PRB and Malizia will have earned 9 out of a possible 10 points on leg 3 (between the scoring gate and the finish). That, combined with 11th Hour Racing Team's average performance on this leg has put Escoffier into a solid position after leg 3, and Malizia will have moved up to take over second place, ahead of 11th Hour Racing Team.
0745 UTC: Team Holcim PRB are probably just under 2 hours away with an ETA near 0930 UTC
