The Ocean Race wins Silver at QS Reimagine Education Awards
The Generation Ocean Learning programme won the accolade in the Sustainability Education category
Generation Ocean, The Ocean Race’s secondary school Learning programme, won the Silver Award for Sustainability Education at the 2023 QS Reimagine Education Awards.
The Awards celebrate innovators that are contributing towards the future of education worldwide.
Generation Ocean was created to introduce young people to the incredible role that the ocean plays in sustaining all life on Earth, highlight the threats that are jeopardising this vital system and empower learners to be part of the solution to help protect our blue planet. Since its launch 12 months ago, the materials have been used by 17,000 students in 39 countries. The free, multi-language resources can be used in school, for at home learning or within the community.
