Virtual Regatta is the world's leading online sailing simulation. When a major offshore race sets off, the same race opens to the public: same course, same weather files, same tactical decisions, on mobile or desktop, free of charge.
More than a million players sail with Virtual Regatta each year, from 190 countries and in 11 languages. On the largest races, several hundred thousand start on the same day and route their boat across an ocean over several weeks.
The company operates two platforms. Virtual Regatta Offshore reproduces long-distance racing in real weather, over periods from days to months. Virtual Regatta Inshore is a short-format simulation, five to eight minutes per race, and supports official eSailing competition.
Virtual Regatta is the official game of The Ocean Race, the Vendée Globe and the Route du Rhum, runs the IMOCA Virtual Series with the IMOCA class, and works with more than 40 race organisers worldwide. It is also World Sailing's official gaming partner: the eSailing World Championship has been run on Virtual Regatta since 2018, and was among the first games featured in the Olympic Esports Series.
