1832 local time -- "This is so nice," said Jelmer van Beek. "The team worked so hard and we got it! We got it in our hometown!! I never expected this. I’m so happy!"

1827 local time -- It's Austrian Ocean Racing - Team Genova with a late pass on the last gybe to grab fourth place over Viva Mexico.

1825 local time -- A fantastic WIN for Team JAJO in front of the home crowd. WindWhisper across in second place and Mirpuri/Trifork Racing in third place... but the battle is for fourth / fifth....

1815 local time -- The home team is making a fantastic performance here today, leading through the windward gate again and pushing hard towards the final leeward gate. While WindWhisper look for separation, it's a big lead now for JAJO.

1805 local time -- Team JAJO safe around the leeward gate ahead of WindWhisper and Mirpuri/Trifork... It's a brilliant race to this point by JAJO.

1755 local time -- It's Team JAJO ahead of WindWhisper and Viva Mexico at the windward gate, with Mirpuri Racing Team and Austrian Ocean Racing.

1745 local time -- Jesper van Beek and his crew with a blinding start and leading the fleet out to the right side of the race course, with WindWhisper also pushing out. Viva Mexico asked for a protest but the umpires on the course ruling no foul.

1740 local time -- WOW WOW WOW - Team JAJO with a port tack start, crossing ahead of the fleet... Punchy call and very well executed.

1735 local time -- Loads of spectator boats on the water today as the 5- minute count down begins...

1730 local time -- Local hero Jelmer Van Beek - Team JAJO: "I'm so excited - there are so many people around, what a beautiful day. Let's make it a good race. Hopefully we can get on the podium?"

1655 local time -- The boats have docked out and are preparing for racing! Race director Phil Lawrence reports conditions as "Glam"... translating to 18-20 knots of wind under bright sunny skies.

1530 local time -- In contrast to the rectangular race course used by the IMOCA fleet, the VO65s will be racing on a more traditional windward-leeward course, perhaps opening up more passing opportunities.

1400 local time -- The VO65 fleet has been out racing this morning, competing in the Pro Am speed trials. Team JAJO took the title this morning, but there were three boats posting an equal time just one second behind them - WindWhisper, Mirpuri/Trifork and Viva Mexico... hopefully we see the same close racing this afternoon.

1230 local time -- After the excitement of yesterday's amazing racing, today we have the VO65 fleet taking centre stage. The weather conditions are forecast to be very similar to yesterday - Northeast winds in the 15-17 knot range. Should be fantastic for the VO65 teams to strut their stuff!!
