The world's toughest ocean race is coming home.
The City of Sails welcomes The Ocean Race back for a landmark tenth stopover - a tradition stretching back to the 1977-78 Whitbread Round the World Race - as the fleet completes the longest opening leg in Race history,
From the fleet's estimated arrival on 20 February, weather permitting, until their departure on 14 March 2027, Auckland's Viaduct Harbour will host the Ocean Live Park - a free waterfront experience for all ages, bringing world-class sailing together with music, entertainment, food, culture, family experiences, and ocean-focused activities including the Leg Arrival as the fleet sails into Waitematā Harbour, Pro-Am racing days where the IMOCA fleet runs a series of speed runs, and a Coastal Race.

From 20 February - 14 March 2027 (start date tbc), Auckland's Viaduct Waterfront Precinct becomes the Ocean Live Park, bringing The Ocean Race ashore with three weeks of free, world-class sailing, entertainment, culture and experiences for all ages - a vibrant celebration in the City of Sails, including:
- Entertainment & Culture: Live performances and cultural experiences.
- Sailing, Science & Innovation: Discover the sailing, science, technology and innovation behind The Ocean Race, including the rare opportunity to see the 60-foot foiling IMOCA yachts up close.
