About the Programme

The Ocean Race is a global sailing adventure where top teams race around the world powered only by the wind. As they cross the oceans, sailors witness firsthand the impact of pollution and the decline in marine life.

We believe it’s vital that children understand the importance of a healthy ocean. Our learning programmes use this unique perspective to inspire and educate younger generations about the wonders of the sea, the threats it faces—like plastic pollution—and the actions they can take to protect it.

Our free resources are designed for schools, home learning, youth groups, and sailing clubs. They support several UN Sustainable Development Goals, that seek to ‘transform our world’ by 2030 - SDG 4 Quality Education, SDG 11 Sustainable Cities and Communities, SDG 13 Climate Action and SDG 14 Life Below Water.
